The SGSA held the second annual Graduate Student Conference in Slavic Studies on Feb. 26, 2011 in the Lucy Ellis Lounge. See the program.
On February 26th 2011, we held our second annual Graduate Student Conference in Slavic Studies in the Lucy Ellis Lounge, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The conference consisted of five dynamic panels, which spanned a broad range of topics including Russian imperial legacies, ethnography, gender and sexuality in Russian literature, soviet film worlds and narratives of madness. This year we reached out to graduate students across different disciplines and regions. We were very pleased with the performance of all the presenters and discussants. We are extremly grateful for the support we received from the UIUC Slavic Department, Comparative and World Literature Program, and REEEC. It is a pleasure to host this conference, and we welcome your interest and future participation.
